研究方向:
刘迎芳,男,1990年毕业于兰州大学生物系,获得理学学士学位。1990年至1993年在河北农业大学林学院任助教。1993年至1999年在北京大学生命科学学院就学,获理学博士学位。1999 年-2005 年先后在美国National Jewish M&R Center,Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory和Duke 大学从事博士后及研究助理工作。2005年2月回国,任中国科学院生物物理研究所“百人计划”研究员。于2017年7月正式加入中山大学医学院, 任教授。2023年,创立深圳市炎症性疾病系统医学重点实验室并任首任主任。
刘迎芳教授主要从事与感染性疾病、天然免疫相关的重大疾病的生物学及基础医学研究,在Nature、Cell、NSMB、Genes & Development、Molecular Cell、PNAS、Science Signaling、Cell Research、Nature Communications等期刊以第一作者或通讯作者发表过系列重要研究论文,特别是在流感病毒复制机制方面取得了具有重要国际影响的研究突破。其作为主要贡献人的研究成果:流感病毒聚合酶复制机制研究曾经被中央电视台CCTV新闻联播节目播报,并在国家“十二五重大科技成果展”中作为中国生物学科研两项重要成果之一获展。目前,国外根据刘迎芳教授等实验室发现的流感病毒PA亚基的功能和结构开发的强大的新型抗流感药物玛巴洛沙韦(中文名:速福达)已经上市,这对预防和治疗流感疾病具有重大的意义。最近,刘迎芳教授实验室发现了人体中一种新型炎症因子家族蛋白。由于此类炎症因子大都被开发或正在开发成临床应用产品,预期此项发现很有可能带来针对各类炎症疾病的新的临床检测和治疗试剂。基于此项原始科学发现的脓毒症诊疗试剂产业化项目获批国家重点研发计划颠覆性科技创新专项立项支持。
刘迎芳研究员是国家杰出青年基金获得者(2010年),享受政府特殊津贴专家
(2013年),国家百千万人才入选者(2009年),归侨贡献奖获得者(2012 年),“百人计划”终期考核优秀获评者,罗氏中国青年科学家奖获得者,多项863、973及国家自然科学基金等重大、重点项目课题或子课题承担人。作为第一完成人
于2012年获得北京市科技成果一等奖。目前是中山大学二级教授。2018年入选广东省医学领军人才,入选2019年度广东省珠江领军人才计划,其作为团队带头人的2019年度“珠江引进人才创新创业团队”项目也获得立项。
